hello world … hello kitty

I’ve been playing Everquest for roughly 2 (maybe slightly more) years. I loved the concept and the game really kept me hooked. Of course, that means I’m only all the more eager for Everquest 2 which is released tomorrow.
However. Today, I read that there is a new MMORPG — of Hello Kitty. It basically looks like The Sims. But it’s Hello Kitty.
I never understood the insane fascination with Hello Kitty. I mean, true — the whole genre of characters are kind’a cute — holds my attention for about 30 seconds as I go “aww, cute.” But why do we need an MMORPG of this.

sorryeverybody.com

My friend D sent me this link — www.sorryeverybody.com. It’s hilarious. Several people here at my office are contributing to it. Here is my contribution:

such a busy boy

The last two weeks have been crazy busy. Firstly, for those who don’t know — I’m currently going to school for my BSIT through University of Phoenix. I’m 11 or 12 classes into the 20 class program. I just started a new class yesterday in Business SQL. I think I might actually have to do do stuff this time. The rest of the classes have been rediculously easy, but this one looks like I might actually have to pay attention. I know practically nothing about SQL.
I’ve also been revamping the new Genevieve Gallen website. We have a luanch date of Nov 19th, and it’s coming along smoothly. The gallery and store will be totally database driven, while the news section will be maintained with MovableType (of course). It hasn’t been the easiest project in the world, for a number of reasons (which I will not go into here).
I’ve also been talking to my friend David from complexsuperior.org. Good guy. 🙂 We seem to have a lot in common.
Oh, and i completely cleaned my apartment. Finally did all my laundrey, cleaned out my huge walk-in closet and threw about 2 boxes of CRAP away.
Still need to clean the cat box tho. :- Yuk.

cornelius, jr.

I went to the bathroom last nite and thought things didn’t feel quite “right.” Upon further inspection, I noticed there was blood in my pee — which, after events from months past, kind’a freaks me out. (For those who dont know, I went to the ER becuase my pee looked like a bloody mary.) This wasn’t as extreme, but it was obvious.
Then I started having the cramps — but I went to bed, refusing to make this into a medical emergency again.
I woke up this morning, everything was fine.
I peed at 12:30 today (at work) and *ping* out it flew. It was in the bottom of the urinal and i was like “should i get it?”
I opted to leave it and went merrily on my way.
So. Cornelius, Jr. — Cornelius’ love child, no doubt, has made his way into the wide world. Thank GOD it wasn’t 1cm like last time. (Although, i was pretty amazed at the size of it. It was about the size of a salt crystal.)

something just broke

i weep for the future of america.

a naked haiku

dirty naked man
sends me winks from personals
god, he’s sixty four.
They think I like that …
Old and greying homo men.
Quit sending me pics!
I felt my essence —
at the least a good four years —
being sucked away.

rainy tuesdays

Well it’s official. Rainy Tuesdays are even worse than rainy mondays. It’s just one of those days folks.
We had some serious sonic boom thunder going on last nite. Woke me out of a dead sleep. Scared the shit out of my cat. She came and was laying all over me.
My lights went out — long enough for my alarm clock to reset. So I woke up late. Dressed quickly ran out the door — only to see my parking lot flooded. Cursing, i drudged back up stairs, took off my shoes and socks, rolled up my pants, slipped on my flip-flops and splished to my car. If it keeps raining like this, I will have a hard time driving home tonite as my car does not double as a boat, nor as a submarine. 146 was almost flooded in parts.
Today would have been a GOOD day to stay in bed. But alas, no. I got to worked drenched — went into my cube, stripped off my shirt, and pulled on my hoodie. My pants legs are still wet, I look major ghetto — probably smell like wet dog.

surprisingly unaware

It was brought to my attention today that Mad World (from Donnie Darko) was, in fact, written by Tears For Fears. Everyone I have asked has known this. It’s like some cosmic secret that I was not let in on.
Needless to say, the cord structure is really easy, and I plunked it out on the piano last nite (the Donnie Darko verson, not that trashy Tears for Fears version which is just yuk).
*sigh* the rain today is very sad. Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. But a rainy Monday — well, that’s just a blatant call for sedatives, sad music, and possibly an unfinished bag of halloween candy. or two.
